In 2022, the Municipal Education Directorate in Berekum appealed to BKMCA to construct a BASIC SCHOOL for the children in Oforikrom. Oforikrom is a village in the Berekum Municipality, where children have to travel a long distance to Tain District to access primary education. With permission from the Municipal Assembly, the BCA graciously agreed to build the school for the children in Oforikrom.
Water is a very critical commodity for any human. River Koraa is the main source of water for the people of Berekum. The Ghana water company treat the water for the consumption of the populace. It has come to the notice of the association that the natural foliage which protects the river from drying is gradually being eroded, thus the need to plant more trees to help protect the river.
Description
The UK chapter is working on a recreational park to provide a relaxation facility for the people of Berekum, especially children who are developing.
The association is embarking on providing potable water to rural communities and schools where access to water is an issue. The association has sunk over five boreholes and mechanised them for a number of communities. the association has mechanised a number of boreholes for some Senior High Schools in Berekum.
